About The Position

Sentara Medical Group is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Suffolk, Virginia. This full-time role offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient care, providing the opportunity to collaborate with physicians in the hospital while also managing patients independently in the clinic.

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification.
• Experience in cardiology preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Epic EHR system.
• Previous inpatient and outpatient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care at Sentara Obici Hospital and Sentara CarePlex Hospital.
• Manage outpatient clinic with independent patient management.
• Conduct general follow-ups and new patient visits.
• Average patient panel of 15 per day.
• Participate in weekend rotation: 1 in 5 weekends (Saturday & Sunday, 7:00–11:00 a.m.).
• Engage in a rotating call schedule: once every two weeks (nights, phone only – not in person).
