About The Position

Position Summary Locations of coverage will be at: Wiregrass Ranch hospital 3000 Wiregrass Ranch Blvd, Wesley Chapel, FL 33543 2353 Bruce B Downs Blvd in Wesley chapel Schedule: 8am to 5pm Weekend call and rounding, typically one weeknd a month will be required Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health Wiregrass Ranch Hospital is conveniently located in the master-planned community of Wiregrass Ranch in Wesley Chapel, Florida. The facility is currently under construction with a completion date set for Spring 2026 and will serve the increasing healthcare needs of the growing Pasco County and Florida Gulf Coast regions. The hospital will open with 102 beds, with a 300-bed capacity at ultimate build out. Designed with a focus on patient comfort and the latest in innovative technology, the hospital will deliver advanced emergency, diagnostic and inpatient care with clinical experts in a variety of specialties.

Requirements

  • MN or MSN or DNP or PhD or DNS degree in nursing required or Graduate of accredited physician assistant program.
  • Maintain current physician assistant licensure or Florida ARNP License in State of Florida.
  • If a Physician Assistant : Maintains NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants).
  • If a Nurse Practitioner : Maintains national advanced certification from an approved nursing specialty board.
  • Maintains BLS certification.
  • Maintains ACLS, NRP, PALS certification as required by department.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.
  • Recognizes deviations from normal in the physical assessment; works collaboratively to formulate treatment plans.
  • Implements appropriate management based on laboratory results, physical assessment, routine diagnostic and follow-up studies, therapeutic measures, admission and discharge care in accordance with written practice protocols.
  • Initiates appropriate actions to facilitate the implementation of therapeutic plans that are consistent with the continuing healthcare needs of patients.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • Demonstrates caring practices by providing a compassionate and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
  • Demonstrates awareness of legal issues and patients’ rights.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves patient care issues to foster significant improvement in patient care.
  • Dictates and documents an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintains provision of preventive health services.
  • Conducts or participates in daily multidisciplinary rounds.
  • Performs detailed history and physical examinations and documents inpatient H & P and discharge summaries (Must be reviewed and countersigned by supervising medical staff member within 24 hours and may not be substituted for physician H & P).
  • Writes or dictates reports and progress notes appropriately in the medical record.
  • Triages patients.
