Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) - Medical ICU
About The Position
The APRN or Physician Assistant provides nursing and medical services to individuals, families and groups, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention as well as diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases. Works autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients' health care problems. Maintains an annual protocol with supervising physician, as required by state professional regulatory agencies. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values in accordance with Tampa General Hospital. We are actively recruiting Advanced Practice Providers (APP) to join the Medical Critical Care Team at Tampa General Hospital (TGH). Critical Care APP’s will work closely with the Medical ICU attending and team on a daily basis. Primary responsibilities include providing new patient evaluations, follow up care for inpatients, clinical coordination and management, and critical care procedures. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in hospital inpatient critical care. This is a fast paced and complex medical intensive care unit.
Requirements
- Current licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Florida
- Acute Care or Adult Gerontology Acute Care board certification required for APRNs
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Critical Care strongly preferred
