About The Position

Clinical care of infants, children and adolescents with Down syndrome in an outpatient setting and participation in clinical research including clinical trials and quality improvement projects.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing or physician assistant (MPAS)
Eligible for licensure in Colorado as an Advance Practice Nurse (FNP, PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado
Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check
Strong communication skills
Broad knowledge and clinical skills in general pediatrics and child development
Commitment to Patient Safety, Quality Care, Communication, and Customer Service

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of nursing or advanced practice experience in general pediatrics, developmental pediatrics or a pediatric subspecialty
Prescriptive authority in Colorado
Research experience

Responsibilities

Primary responsibility for the treatment and management of infants, children and adolescents with Down syndrome at our outpatient clinic or Network of Care locations.
Serve as the medical provider in multidisciplinary team visits providing evaluation and treatment of infants, children and adolescents with Down syndrome.
Provide clinical supervision for advanced practice nursing, physician assistant and/or medical students.
Contribute to ongoing clinical research projects, clinical trials and quality improvement efforts.
