About The Position

Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Thoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA) to join North Jersey Thoracic Surgical Associates. This nationally ranked and expanding service line offers a collaborative practice environment with experienced thoracic surgeons and a high volume of cases. The APP will support both inpatient and outpatient care, with responsibilities at Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, and a satellite office in Clark, NJ. The role is primarily outpatient, with additional inpatient rounding and wound care responsibilities.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• 2 years of NP/PA experience is preferred
• Must have excellent communication and computer skills
• Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently

Responsibilities

• Performing patient assessments
• Ordering diagnostic tests
• Assisting in surgical and post-operative care
• Developing and implementing treatment plans
• Providing patient education
• Collaborating with the care team
• Maintaining accurate electronic medical records
