About The Position

WVUHS and the Department of Emergency Medicine seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to practice at Potomac Valley Hospital. Requirements

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing for Nurse Practitioners.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers for Nurse Practitioners.
• Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania for Nurse Practitioners.
• CNOR Certification required for Nurse Practitioners.
• BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department for Nurse Practitioners.
• Bachelor’s Degree as Physician Assistant, or Master’s Degree as Physician Assistant required for Physician Assistants.
• Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant (PA) training program required for Physician Assistants.
• Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants required for Physician Assistants.
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the PA Board of Medicine for Physician Assistants.
• BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department for Physician Assistants.

Nice To Haves

• Emergency medicine/Urgent care experience preferred.
• Eligible new graduates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient clinical care to patients in an emergency medicine capacity.
• Establish preventive health practices for patients.
