Requirements

Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey and holds a Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Nursing or a related mental health field and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as either a Clinical Specialist in Adult Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
Trauma informed approach to care
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Coordinate services with multiple departments across the agency

Responsibilities

Conducts comprehensive psychiatric evaluations under supervision of collaborating physician.
Works effectively with the full spectrum of diagnostic disorders.
Demonstrates clinical expertise in psychotropic medication use, side effects and indications for symptom management.
Initiates and interprets diagnostic screening tools.
Demonstrates ability to identify changes and precipitants in the status of maladaptive symptoms and level of functioning.
Works effectively with the full spectrum of diagnostic disorders, including primary psychiatric disorders as well as co-occurring substance use disorders and MAT.
