About the position
The Advanced Practice Nurse assumes responsibility for advanced nursing practice within a clinical specialty. In consultation with other members of the health care team, strengthens nursing practice and promotes positive patient outcomes. Responsibilities include clinical practice, staff and patient education, and research. The Advanced Practice Nurse serves as a significant member of the multidisciplinary health care team in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for advanced nursing practice within a clinical specialty.
- Consult with other members of the health care team.
- Strengthen nursing practice and promote positive patient outcomes.
- Engage in clinical practice.
- Provide staff and patient education.
- Participate in research.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience.
- Master's Degree - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant degree is required.
- New Jersey License: APN and RN or PA.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Certification: NCCPA.
