About The Position
Cool Springs Internal Medicine & Pediatrics, a division of Summit Healthcare, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their practice. This position involves performing complete physical exams, obtaining complete medical histories, and recording findings. The successful candidate will maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information, as well as order and perform appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures. They will determine preliminary diagnoses and therapeutic plans by obtaining, interpreting, and integrating data, and will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatments, educating them on health and illness prevention, and recommending community resources to meet their needs. Additionally, the role includes assisting physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients, providing monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits, and triaging nursing and family telephone calls to provide consultation.
