We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Infectious Disease APN/NP to join our team, providing expert care to pediatric patients with complex infections, including immunocompromised hosts, HIV, and emerging infectious diseases. The role involves outpatient and/or inpatient care, collaboration with physicians, and participation in research/education. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides comprehensive health care for assigned patients/community as determined by scope of practice guidelines and specialty. This includes completion of a health assessment, determining diagnosis, planning and prescribing treatment within the parameters of medical staff privileges at the University of Illinois and area of expertise. The APRN participates in the educational experiences of nursing students, medical students, residents and other health care disciplines. The APRN is required to have and maintain a faculty appointment in order to receive clinical privileges to practice at the University of Illinois.
