About The Position

This position is located in White Earth, MN, and is a federal job opportunity. To qualify, candidates must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties of the specific position. This includes both paid and unpaid experience, such as volunteer work through National Service programs like the Peace Corps or AmeriCorps, as well as other professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, or social organizations. Candidates will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part-time work. It is essential to clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held, along with the total number of hours worked per week.

Requirements

• At least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service.
• Experience must be equivalent to GS-04, GS-05, or GS-06 grade levels depending on the position applied for.
• Specialized experience must include tasks such as responding to inquiries, applying funds control techniques, and understanding medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries and requests through telephone, correspondence, and personal visits.
• Apply funds control techniques; monitor and account for funds allotted.
• Familiarize with facility organizational departments and services provided.
• Understand medical terminology and utilize automated patient management systems.
• Apply patient referral/care procedures and regulations.
• Work with funding limitations and policies related to patient referral programs.
• Maintain obligation registers regarding funds for medical services.
• Determine patient eligibility and availability of services based on policies and regulations.
• Manage funds control techniques and prepare statements and reports.
