About The Position
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply Major Duties include, but are not limited to: Providing advanced clinical practice, consultation, and management. Practicing to the full extent of their education, training, and certification. Independently managing a panel of patients with acute and chronic health conditions with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention using evidence-based practice. Developing and implementing an individualized plan to achieve optimal population health and disease management. Demonstrating leadership and working collaboratively with Primary Care Team and other interdisciplinary team members. Ordering and interpreting labs, tests, and diagnostic studies. Prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions. Initiating referrals and consults to specialty services. Providing education to patients and their families.
