Virtua Pediatric Behavioral Health C.A.S.T.L.E. is a comprehensive, therapeutic day program designed for youth facing emotional and behavioral challenges. Requirements
- Current New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) license with prescriptive authority.
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) required.
- Current DEA and CDS certification or eligibility to obtain.
- Demonstrated ability to work with high-needs, at-risk youth populations in outpatient or structured settings.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- A trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally competent approach to care.
Nice To Haves
- Child and adolescent psychiatry experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for children and adolescents.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications based on individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, educators, nurses, social workers, and families.
- Participate in team meetings, care coordination, and treatment planning sessions.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with CFG and Virtua Health policies.
- Provide psychiatric consultation and crisis intervention support as needed within the program.
