About The Position

The Advanced Practice Nurse provides high quality, cost-effective patient care that supports established specialty practice objectives and strategic organizational goals. The Advanced Practice Nurse establishes preventive measures, diagnoses and treats illnesses and disorders in a competent manner that is consistent with medical practice and joint protocols as established with the collaborating physician. This position ensures that patient care is delivered in a cost-effective manner, managing and utilizing resources optimally. By demonstrating compassion and respect for the individual, the Advanced Practice Nurse provides care that meets the customer's expectations. The Advanced Practice Nurse works collaboratively with physician leaders, administration and staff to improve clinical outcomes. This position participates in quality improvement efforts organization-wide and plays an active role as a member of the appropriate divisional and departmental committees. The Advanced Practice Nurse maintains current technical knowledge and seeks educational and professional opportunities to enhance clinical practice and competency. The Advanced Practice Nurse contributes towards the organization's educational programs and teaching activities. This position participates in the peer review process to enhance clinical practice, demonstrating sound judgment and respect for colleagues.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school or as grandfathered by NJ Law.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
  • Certification within area of specialty required and granted privileges from Atlantic City Medical Center medical staff.
  • NRNNP, C or RNCNS, C registry unencumbered.
  • ACLS required in Heart Failure Program.
  • BLS required.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in field of specialty as RN in State of New Jersey.

  • Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire.
