About The Position

The Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Moonlighter plays a key role in supporting Behavioral Health services at Regions Hospital. In this on ‑ call position, you will apply your clinical expertise to evaluate and treat psychiatric patients within our inpatient mental health unit and consult liaison service. As an APC Moonlighter, you will: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including intake evaluations and physical exams. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising psychiatrists. Provide medication management and ongoing patient follow ‑ up. Coordinate care with interdisciplinary treatment teams. Make appropriate referrals and support patients throughout their hospitalization. You will work closely with our inpatient psychiatry program, delivering high ‑ quality behavioral health care within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Physician Assistant degree (MPAS) or Nurse Practitioner degree (DNP or MSN)
• Recent graduates of accredited PA or NP programs are welcome to apply.
• NP applicants must have completed a Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult Nurse Practitioner program.
• Ability to perform basic psychiatric and medical assessments, including physical exams during mental health admissions.
• Ability to assess and manage acute and chronic medical concerns and psychiatric emergencies.
• Current NCCPA certification
• Active PA license in Minnesota
• Current certification through AANP or ANCC
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Minnesota

Responsibilities
