At Corrections Health, we provide medically needed health care and transitional services to adults and youth in custody at Multnomah County Jails and Juvenile Detention Facility. The Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) will provide Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) cooperatively with the Corrections Health and Harm Reduction Program teams. The APC will provide effective and efficient evaluations, diagnosis, treatment plans and prevention services for those with substance use disorder or who are referred for MAT while in custody. The APC must consistently demonstrate effective, positive and respectful communication with patients and staff including: active listening, empathy, courtesy, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to promote modification of health behaviors with clients. This position will work in both Corrections Health and Harm Reduction Program locations, with service hours and schedules that meet the needs of the population served. As an Advanced Practice Clinician in Corrections Health and the Harm Reduction Program team , you will help serve at two of our Correctional Health facilities and the Menlo Park Syringe Service Program and Clinic (HRC) 1.
