About The Position

Beebe Healthcare is an award-winning health system serving coastal Delaware. We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our BMG team, providing high-quality, outpatient urgent care services. This individual provides direct patient care as the Center's Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner according to established protocols, policies, procedures, and accepted standards of care. Functions within approved scope and credentials as approved by Beebe Medical Center credentialing committee. Follow established nursing standards, procedures, and practices, and gives specific patient care directions to nursing and other staff.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) program.
  • Active licensure in Delaware or ability to obtain upon job offer.
  • Current BLS certification (per American Heart Association guidelines).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or walk-in clinic settings.
  • Strong procedural competency in outpatient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the Walk-In Clinic.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages (6 months to geriatric).
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Perform clinical assessments, evaluations, and treatments for patients across the lifespan.
  • Diagnose and manage medical and surgical conditions in an urgent care setting.
  • Interpret and analyze diagnostic tests, including EKGs, X-rays, and lab results.
  • Perform minor procedures, including foreign body removal, incision and drainage of abscesses, nosebleed management, laceration repair, and orthopedic injury management.
  • Provide preventative care, risk assessments, coaching, and patient counseling.
  • Handle emergency and unexpected situations with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with clinical protocols.
