We have an exciting opportunity to join our stroke specialist CNS/ANP team as a full time band 7 advanced nurse practitioner. Our specialist team covers a 24/7 stroke specialist service including pre alert video triage, front door assessment, triage and treatment of all suspected stroke and TIA patients including thrombolysis and referrals for thrombectomy. As a band 7 ANP you will also cover nurse led clinics and assist with service improvement, teaching and training as well as be involved with audit and data. We also receive stroke referrals from across the hospital site. You will be expected to cover all shift patterns including long days, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays. We are a large stroke center and see over 1,200 stroke patients per year and over 2,000 TIA patients so being able to work in a fast paced environment and an ability to prioritise is a must. It is expected that applicants will have significant experience specialising in stroke care as well as health assessment skills and Non Medical Prescribing/Independent prescribing qualifications. It is also expected that applicants will have a MSc or be working towards one.
