About The Position

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Student Health and Counseling Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician to provide health services to UAF students. The Center provides medical, counseling, and health education services to the UAF student body. Nurse Practitioners and Physicians provide comprehensive, ambulatory healthcare and health education to university students as part of the medical staff. This position is part-time, benefits-eligible, and available during the academic year (nine months, from mid-August to mid-May) and part-time during half of the summer term To thrive in this position, the incumbent must be committed to working in an interdisciplinary environment, maintaining a strong interest in addressing both physical and mental health concerns, and supporting students in managing their healthcare needs.

Requirements

Advanced Nurse Practitioner: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program at the master's level or higher
Alaska license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner
Alaska prescriptive authority, including a DEA number or eligibility for a DEA number
Physician: Degree from an accredited Medical School program
Alaska license to practice as a Physician
Alaska prescriptive authority, including a DEA number or eligibility for a DEA number
