The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) has a unique combination of education, research, and clinical programs that encourages and supports teamwork and diversity. This position is responsible for supporting and monitoring the UAMS Network Engineering environment, which includes networking equipment from Arista, Aruba, Brocade, F5, Juniper, and Cisco, as well as networking monitoring software from various providers. The role requires collaboration with all areas of IT and the entire campus to ensure maximum network uptime. The position also involves keeping up-to-date on emerging technologies that would benefit UAMS and mentoring the network team as needed. Additionally, this position participates in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
