As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Sr ADV here at Honeywell, you will lead efforts to optimize advanced manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence. You will develop and implement innovative manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality. You will report directly to one of our Engineering Managers and you’ll work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on a 100% onsite work schedule. In this role, you will influence the planning and designing of manufacturing processes. You will determine equipment and tools needed by the team to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification for both existing and new processes. You will maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Support daily production activities and drive producibility projects to increase capacity through yield and cycle time improvements. You will determine technologies needed by the team to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification, for improving existing and introducing new processes/product technologies. You will maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Assist in the development, integration, and own production implementation of both new equipment and/or process optimizations to increase capacity and yield. Support daily production activities and drive producibility and yield improvement projects in a challenging environment.   • Lead and oversee advanced manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Provide test and manufacturing support for Ring Laser Gyro (RLG) and Tactical Guidance Products (TGP) production.
  • Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability, product health trends and drive yield improvements.
  • Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis.
  • Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions.
  • Assist development of new products.
  • Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.
  • Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.
  • Test products & software.
  • Lead capital equipment (CAPEX) deployment initiatives, including justification, vendor selection, installation, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and production release.
  • Manage manufacturing-related projects from concept through execution, coordinating timelines, resources, budgets, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership during equipment upgrades, line expansions, and process automation projects to support capacity, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • 2+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing or process optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, such as automation, robotics, and additive manufacturing.
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical process control.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software tools and technologies relevant to process optimization.
  • Experience supporting capital equipment (CAPEX) projects, including equipment specification, implementation, and production handoff.
  • Demonstrated project management or technical leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with the ability to drive projects across cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced Engineering degrees such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Product or process engineering experience.
  • Experience with Optics.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
  • Ability to balance priorities in daily tasks and strategic projects.
  • Hands on work ethic.
  • Initiative and ownership of responsibilities and actions.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to drive results.
