About The Position

PAR Systems, a world leader in engineering intelligent solutions, is growing our Automation business segment. This team specializes in designing and building automated assembly systems. Whether it’s consumer goods, semiconductors, or lifesaving medical devices, our custom solutions combine precision mechanical design, motion control, vision, and robotics to tackle some of the most complex manufacturing challenges. We are looking for an Advanced Mechanical Engineer to help us bring these machines to life — from concept to completion. Success Criteria: Bringing a proactive mindset to work, the Advanced Mechanical Engineer will support the design and integration of automated equipment alongside a multidisciplinary team. You’ll contribute to mechanical concepts, CAD modeling, and design reviews for a variety of custom automation systems — helping bring our customers’ ideas to life. In this role, you'll continue developing your mechanical engineering skillset by working through real-world design challenges, learning from experienced engineers, and gradually taking on greater ownership of your work. Whether you're refining current designs or helping scope new ones, your contributions will directly support successful project outcomes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in machine design
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling packages – SolidWorks preferred
  • Ability to manage system or sub-system design from the concept phase through detailed modeling and drafting
  • Familiarity with common commercial automation components – pneumatics, motors, linear and rotary motion devices, robots, etc.
  • Familiarity with common custom machine fabrication techniques, focusing on machining but including sheet metal fabrication and welding
  • Experience producing detailed fabrication drawings for custom machine components
  • Demonstrated ability to own and drive projects to completion
  • The drive to consistently deliver on commitments
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
