The Advanced Manufacturing Technician is responsible for performing a variety of manufacturing processes to convert raw materials into finished products. The AMT is expected to be proficient in soldering, resistance welding, punching, potting, trimming, inspection, testing, measuring, wire stripping, cutting, laminating, bonding, baking, crimping, etc. The AMT follows directions from the call leader and the AME Manager. The AMT is expected to read and understand Birk specifications as well as customer prints. The AMT utilizes general best practices to manufacture high quality products from the prototype stage to production. The AMT is expected to adapt while learning based competencies with the goal of being semi-independent and requiring minimal direction to complete complicated tasks.
