This Position reports to: System Drives Production Manager In this role, you will be responsible for providing the technical lead and coordination of new product localization for the US – Motion – High Power Production Lines in the areas of Safety, Delivery, Internal Logistics, Lean Manufacturing, Change Management, Automation and Quality. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, driving efficiency, quality, and readiness for localized production, while fostering seamless collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure project(s) success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, process adaptation and risk management. The work model for the role is: Hybrid; New Berlin, WI This role is contributing to the Motion High Power (MOHP) System Drives (SD) Division in the United States. Your role and responsibilities:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering and 5 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in structured project management methodologies (PMP or Six Sigma Certification Preferred).
  • Continuous improvement mindset, result orientation and ability to work under pressure.
  • Travel requirement - 10%
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end localization of new products into manufacturing, ensuring alignment with production capabilities, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Identify and implement necessary modifications to processes to support efficient and scalable localized manufacturing.
  • Proactively identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure all localized products meet required quality and compliance standards.
  • Plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously by utilizing change management skills to manage risks meet project deadline.
  • This individual must work collaboratively with stakeholders, manage phase in / phase out of changes, and have robust follow through on changes to ensure success.
