About The Position

This role is part of a high-performance team focused on developing and implementing a manufacturing excellence roadmap for the facility. The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will help create and execute a five-year plan to integrate advanced manufacturing concepts, reduce complexity and cost, and transition toward single-piece flow manufacturing as the ideal state.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background with passion for manufacturing technology and innovation.
  • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, prioritization, and deadline management.
  • Experience with capital equipment financial modeling.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams within technical or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced listening and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Independent judgment and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated with high energy and initiative.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
  • 3+ years of operations experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of directly relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, plan, and oversee manufacturing improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Define project scope and objectives.
  • Develop detailed timing plans with milestones and execute within established timelines.
  • Create financial models for projects, including capital equipment and ROI; manage spending to plan.
  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders.
  • Research and apply best practices in advanced manufacturing technology.
  • Develop and manage project schedules and cross-functional deliverables.
  • Source equipment and services through third-party vendors.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Identify and mitigate manufacturing risks.
  • Implement lean manufacturing concepts effectively.
  • Present proposals for advanced manufacturing practices and growth opportunities.
  • Comply with established procedures, processes, and system requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
