About The Position

Danfoss Turbocor is a rapidly expanding global industry leader in the oil-free compressor market. We are looking to expand our Global Industrial Project Team to include a position that will support our manufacturing testing and automation strategies. The role will support our factories in the US, Europe, and China. The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will lead global manufacturing projects for new testing and automation processes. This role will work with key stakeholders to benchmark and identify potential manufacturers/vendor partners. This role will drive best-in-class performance, process, and cost optimization with value-added technology capabilities across the business that provide measurable outcomes. In addition, it is expected to have a deep sense of ownership, the ability to identify process improvement opportunities, and drive positive changes across the organization. This individual should further be able to demonstrate an excellent ability to communicate and lead/influence teams that do not directly report to this role.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from a four-year college or university in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Robotic, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing testing applications.
• Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
• Able to travel up to 30-40% internationally.
• Testing and measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop testing solutions based on FMEA analyses and lead testing strategy for all manufacturing sites globally.
• Manage project execution from inception to completion, focusing on sustainable and reliable manufacturing, equipment optimization, and technology enhancements.
• Understand and comply with quality policy, procedures and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, attainment of business goals and environmental well-being.
• Support new initiatives including, but not limited to; new equipment and technology, human capital requirements, floor space and facility layouts, other key projects as needed.
• Build personal competencies in product knowledge of our complete product line.
• Act as the liaison between key departments per project requirements: QA/regulatory, product development, and manufacturing.
• Develop competencies to be a global subject matter expert in manufacturing testing applications.
• Prepare cost/benefit analysis for proposed initiatives to drive business decisions; manage capital budget related to technology upgrades and new implementations.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development on key business goals and strategy.
• Focus on reduction of cost and speed to market, quality, and standardization of best practices.
• Develop talent and a culture of innovation, collaboration, and engagement.
• Develop and maintain technology solutions and processes that will enable the organization to scale, innovate, improve customer and staff experience, and operate efficiently and effectively.
