A Day in the Life In this role, you will be part of the AME team, and will support the development, optimization, and sustainment of manufacturing processes that enable high-quality, life-changing products for our patients. You will apply engineering fundamentals, problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset to enhance product performance, improve manufacturing methods, and reduce costs in a systematic and inclusive way. You will also collaborate with internal teams across R&D, manufacturing, quality, and global partners as well as with external suppliers. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 2 years related experience OR Advanced Degree with 0 years of related work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing, medical device, or regulated industry experience.
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools.
  • Familiarity with basic statistical analysis or statistical software.
  • Experience supporting hands-on engineering work such as troubleshooting, equipment setup, or process experiments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, technicians, and production teams.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
  • Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
  • Design sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
  • Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
  • Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
  • Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
  • Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
