About The Position

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes for our accelerometer production line. This position requires a blend of engineering acumen, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvements in manufacturing capabilities while ensuring product quality and compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, such as automation, robotics, and additive manufacturing.
  • Advanced Engineering degrees like ME (Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Results-driven and proactive individual who is capable of working autonomously while maintaining a focus on achieving organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, effectively prioritizing tasks and managing time to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize costs in the production of accelerometers.
  • Utilize principles of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to analyze and improve production line performance.
  • Conduct tool and process capability studies to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead and coordinate projects related to process improvements, new product introductions, and equipment installations.
  • Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure timely and successful execution.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, addressing issues as they arise, and ensuring stakeholder alignment.
  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing team during production runs, troubleshooting technical issues related to equipment and processes.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products and modifications of existing products.
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, manufacturing process flowcharts, and process control plans.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to drive optimal solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability, production readiness, and cost analysis.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the manufacturing team.
