About The Position

As an Advanced Loop Sorter Conveyor System Design and Estimating Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will come to work with a collaborative cross-functional team that is designing and innovating and delivering high-quality solutions to enhance customer experience and drive business growth. You will report directly to our Senior Application Engineer Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Mason, OH location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will collaborate with both sales and customers to understand project requirements, then meet those needs through mechanical designs - for both new conveyor systems and modifications to existing systems. You will take ownership of your design throughout the pre-sale process, coordinating a cross-functional team through cost estimating, proposal document creation and leadership approvals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as mechanical engineering or science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
  • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in the material handling industry
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer needs to usable design requirements
  • Design systems utilizing Honeywell standard offerings and outside purchased products
  • Balance design optimization with customer budgetary constraints
  • Ensure cost and schedule estimates are consistent with historical company performance
  • Assist in writing proposals that are both technically correct and easily readable by customers
  • Support Sales in customer meetings throughout proposal cycle
