About The Position

The Advanced Life Account Relationship Manager is responsible for the management of advanced life insurance cases (>$2MM of death benefit for term insurance or >$500K of death benefit for permanent life insurance) through the application submission, underwriting and policy delivery phases of the sales cycle. Duties and Responsibilities: Partners with our Broker General Agents and/or Insurance Carriers to gather all required medical information (i.e. attending physician statement, paramed and labs) as well as collect and analyze the clients financial information (i.e. tax returns, balance sheets and cash flow summaries) to negotiate the best underwriting offer for the client. If necessary, coordinates the syndication of coverage across multiple insurance companies to ensure our client’s financial objectives are met (i.e. overall death benefit and/or total premium outlay). Authorized to bind coverage and send policy to issue. Exercises judgment to develop, create and assemble presentations (15-20 per month) – this includes illustrations, power-point presentations, life insurance applications and other pre-sale functions to prepare the insurance representative for client meetings. Prioritize effectively and respond in optimal time frames while working in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines. Acts independently to service large, complex accounts (>1500 clients) for the producer’s book of business. Controls confidential client information through Sagitta and Image Right to ensure client information is accurate, well maintained and up-to-date. Prepares annual reviews to focus on policy retention to maintain the client’s relationship. Ensures Huntington Insurance is compliant with all HBAN and FINRA policies & procedures. Works with the Agency Principal to make sure all reporting requirements are met, along with making sure that all agents are properly licensed and appointed prior to soliciting business. Governs Advanced Life Team with pipeline management including referral tracking, communication with referral source, projection of revenue and anticipated completion dates. Responsible for the Advanced Life Team’s weekly documentation for forecast reporting. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years Insurance Industry Experience
