About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and a relentless commitment to achieving zero defects. This role will focus on driving quality initiatives, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 3 Minimum years of experience in quality engineering, with a focus on APQP and zero defects.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, and PPAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Certification in Six Sigma, CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), or similar.
  • Experience in Aerospace, automotive, or other high-precision industries.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead APQP activities throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to production.
  • Develop and maintain control plans, process flow diagrams, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust product and process designs.
  • Drive initiatives to achieve zero defects in manufacturing and supply chain processes.
  • Implement root cause analysis and corrective actions to address quality issues.
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with internal shop and or suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and APQP requirements.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to verify adherence to specifications.
  • Support development programs to enhance quality performance.
  • Ensure products meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit required documentation, including PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
  • Address customer concerns and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Champion lean methodologies and quality tools to drive process improvements.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and other problem-solving activities.
  • Promote a culture of quality excellence across the organization.
