Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Advanced Job Lead/Inspector to join our team in Dallas, TX. This position plays a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of aircraft engines, working both independently and under limited supervision. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including engine troubleshooting, repairs, module removal and replacement, field repairs, and line maintenance. The role also involves conducting inspections and ensuring that all maintenance activities are documented and compliant with applicable regulations. The Advanced Job Lead/Inspector will be expected to develop positive relationships with customers through outstanding service and communication, contributing to the overall mission of transforming the future of flight. In this position, you will effectively and efficiently perform borescope inspections on all models of Pratt & Whitney commercial aircraft engines, providing detailed reports on your findings. You will conduct preliminary, in-process, and final inspections, as well as hidden damage inspections, ensuring that all results are recorded according to established procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for approving articles for return to service by issuing FAA Form 8130-3. As a Job Lead, you will oversee engines worked on in the shop or in the field, requiring frequent travel to customer locations both domestically and internationally, with a willingness to travel up to 40% of the time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aircraft engine maintenance and inspection, with a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant license and at least 5 years of related experience. You will be expected to communicate technical data effectively to external customers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.
