About The Position

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Webster Outlying Field (WOLF) Special Communications Mission Solutions (SCMS) Division provides in-service engineering and full lifecycle support for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems. Operating under the oLSI model, the SCMS Division supports Tactical and Remote Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, and Intelligence (C5I) Edge Systems (TARCES) across commercial and militarized vehicles, maritime platforms, mobile communications units, fixed base stations, command centers, and intelligence systems. The Advanced Information Security Analyst supports secure network design, data protection, and cybersecurity risk management for TARCES infrastructure, ensuring resilient and compliant operations across tactical and enterprise-scale environments. This position is considered Key and will be available upon contract award. We are seeking candidates who are will to accept contingent offers immediately.

Requirements

  • Current certification in CISM, CISSO, FITSP-M, GCIA, GCSA, GCIH, GSLC, GICSP, CISSP-ISSMP, or CISSP.
  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited or NSA CAE-designated institution.
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Relevant military or DoD occupational specialty credentials (4C-FA26A, M09CHN1, A-531-0009, A-531-0045, or ACQ 160 + ISA 220).
  • Proven experience performing vulnerability assessments, implementing technical controls, and developing incident response and monitoring strategies.
  • Strong understanding of secure networking, encryption technologies, and risk management frameworks.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies and RMF processes.
  • Experience with C5ISR or C5I systems, edge computing, cloud security, or tactical communications environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the protection of network and data assets supporting RF communications, 5G small cell systems, edge computing devices, and hybrid cloud applications within the TARCES architecture.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, implement and validate technical security controls, and ensure compliance with applicable federal cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Develop, test, and refine incident response procedures to mitigate and report security events effectively.
  • Perform continuous security monitoring and threat analysis to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and information.
  • Provide technical leadership in cybersecurity design and operational integration, working closely with engineering, network, and operations teams.
  • Develop security documentation, risk assessments, and system authorization artifacts in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and organizational requirements.
  • Coordinate efforts to maintain alignment with Information Assurance (IA) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards.
  • Identify process improvements and lead the adoption of advanced security technologies across TARCES-supported environments.
