About The Position
Works in a fast-paced, highly physical, high patient-volume environment to support the Advanced Imaging Teams in optimizing patient flow to include screening and preparing patients for exams, safely transporting patients to and from Imaging exam rooms, transferring patients to and from Imaging exam tables, preparing rooms for next patients. Pre-exam, may be asked to assist by verifying lab orders in electronic medical record (EMR), checking for patients to have IVs and communicating to nurses when IV is needed, interviewing/screening patients, completing patient related paperwork, handing gowns to patients and assisting patients as necessary. Post exam, may be asked to scan documents into PACS, verify exams are sent to PACS, stock rooms, process requests for electronic image sharing and prepare CD/DVDs, process requests to upload outside images to PACS, and help submit equipment service requests. The Advanced Imaging Technologist Aide is a vital member of the Imaging Team and is relied upon to be organized, resourceful, anticipatory of technologist and patient needs, have excellent time-management skills, excellent attendance, excellent communication skills, excellent telephone etiquette, trustworthy, and exceptionally patient-care focused. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
