About The Position

Marathon Petroleum Company is seeking a Health, Environment, Safety, Security & Product Quality (HESS&PQ) Management Systems Coordinator to join our high-performing team. This is a unique opportunity to lead strategic initiatives that shape the future of our safety and quality programs. As part of the HESS&PQ Processes group, you'll play a key role in supporting our Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS), corporate auditing programs, and governance committees. The preferred location for this role is Findlay, Ohio, however other MPC locations may be considered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HES discipline, science, or engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related work experience required, 7 or more years preferred.
  • Field operations or field HES&S experience is preferred.
  • Prior management system and/or auditing experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Intelex is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to management and key stakeholders regarding implementation and continual improvement of OEMS.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver corporate resources to strengthen OEMS.
  • Facilitate the effective integration of newly acquired assets into the OEMS framework.
  • Lead OEMS and Audit Centers of Excellence to facilitate identification and sharing of best practices across MPC.
  • Develop, measure, and analyze value-added metrics related to OEMS and auditing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and resources for evaluating process maturity and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Create and lead audit and OEMS training, including Lead Auditor training.
  • Lead HESS&PQ audits with operating component audit teams.
  • Identify issues with OEMS and/or audit processes and lead cross-functional teams to create solutions.
  • Assist organizations with preparation for third-party attestation audits and internal audits.
  • Participate in these audits as requested.
  • Partner with business units to ensure the HESS&PQ auditing process is executed effectively.
  • Assist with coordination of HESS&PQ governance committees.
  • Participate on the Intelex Support Team and provide Intelex audit assistance.
