About The Position

As an Advanced Hardware Engineer here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to design and develop cutting-edge hardware solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of our aerospace products. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our aerospace solutions by driving innovation and ensuring that our hardware meets the highest standards of quality and performance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware design principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
  • Experience with hardware testing and validation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Engineering degrees such as Electrical Engineering (EE) or related fields.
  • Experience in leading hardware design projects.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of FPGA and microcontroller-based designs.
  • Experience with DO-160 and DO-254.
  • Experience with TSO and PMA for aerospace products.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the hardware design process, from concept to production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and specifications.
  • Design and develop complex hardware systems, including schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Perform hardware testing and validation to ensure product performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
