Advanced GI MIS and General Surgery Faculty The University of Nebraska Medical Center ( UNMC ) Department of Surgery in Omaha is recruiting an Advanced GI Minimally Invasive Surgeon to join the Division of General Surgery. This faculty position offers the opportunity to build a high-volume clinical practice while contributing to surgical education and academic advancement within a collaborative, mission-driven environment. This position also offers the potential opportunity, if interested, to participate as an Associate Program Director for the Advanced GI MIS Fellowship. Requirements

MD/DO (or equivalent)
Board certified/ board eligible in General Surgery
Advanced GI MIS Fellowship trained with advanced expertise in minimally invasive foregut, abdominal wall and robotic GI surgery
Advanced GI MIS Fellowship trained with advanced expertise in minimally invasive foregut, abdominal wall and robotic GI surgery
Clinically strong with interest in foregut, complex abdominal, and general surgery
Diagnostic and Therapeutic upper endoscopy skills
Sufficient Bariatric experience to participate in call coverage
Committed to resident and fellow education and academic engagement
Desire to advance the academic fields of Advanced GI Surgery through education, research and quality improvement as demonstrated by a history of education and research efforts.
