About The Position

The Advanced Technician - HAC position at Hitachi Global Air Power is considered an expert role focused on Sullair rotary/oil free products and accessories. The technician will provide maintenance and technical support for Sullair products at customer field locations, install new products, enhance existing ones, and train on-site customer personnel. Responsibilities include troubleshooting malfunctions, preparing detailed service reports, and collaborating with various departments to address field concerns. The position requires travel to field jobsites and adherence to Environmental Health and Safety policies.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in English.
• Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months with no major traffic violations.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and work in industrial environments.
• Must have own tools to perform job duties.
• 4-6 years of air compressor commissioning and maintenance experience.
• Experience with multiple brands of rotary screw and oil free compressors.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand schematics.
• Strong grasp of Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree.
• Technical Trade School.
• Experience with industrial product manufacturing and processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform service on all compressed air products, regardless of brand, except for centrifugal technology.
• Train other technicians on all rotary products and accessories.
• Travel to field jobsites for troubleshooting and service of Sullair and competitive rotary products.
• Follow standard work for pre and post service preparation.
• Be on call as scheduled for afterhours customer support.
• Communicate distributor feedback to Sullair management.
• Drive field concerns to closure in a timely manner.
• Support the goal of service within the Service Department of 95%.
• Contribute to positive Company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented image.
