About The Position

The Test Operations Manager is responsible for the hands-on execution of all CWL and MTWS test activities and supports the Test Program Lead. This role owns lab operations, test asset configuration, daily execution authority, and real-time anomaly response. This position serves as the floor authority for all CWL and MTWS test events. This role may require intermittent travel, both independently and as part of a team, to support customer meetings, reviews and test events in partner and government labs, as well as shipboard installations in domestic and international locations.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Strong test engineering and embedded systems integration background
  • 15-20 years of experience operating and/or maintaining AN/BYG-1, or similar combat systems
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Common Weapon Launcher
  • Proficient with Navy or weapon system lab environments
  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Proficiency in Jira and IBM Rational DOORS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong mentoring and leadership capability
  • The candidate should be able to perform under a level of supervision where the supervisor, in this case, the Test Program Lead, sets the overall objectives and resources available. The candidate, in consultation with the Test Program Lead, will develop deadlines, projects, and work to be done. The candidate is expected to plan and carry out assignments independently, resolve most conflicts, coordinate work with others, and interpret policy on their own initiative. The candidate must keep the Test Program Lead informed of progress, potentially controversial matters, or far-reaching implications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily integration, verification, and regression test execution
  • Maintain CWL and MTWS laboratory configuration and readiness
  • Directs test engineers, technicians, and lab managers
  • Manage test equipment procurement, calibration, and installation
  • Lead PTR/anomaly generation and resolution
  • Coordinate system installation and grooming at DoD labs and ship sites
  • Enforce safety and classified handling procedures
  • Operate troubleshooting tools including oscilloscopes and multimeters
