About The Position

Responsible to respond to emergencies, assess patients; provide treatment in accordance with PA DOH Basic & Advanced EMT standard curriculum. Also responsible to transport patients according to established protocols and assist Advance Life Support (Paramedic) providers with patient care management. Must perform non-emergency routine medical transports utilizing ambulances and wheelchairs vans and follow up with complete appropriate documentation.

Requirements

AHA BLS required within six (6) months of hire.
Current certification as an Advanced EMT in the Commonwealth of PA or eligible for and completion of reciprocity if certified in another state.
Valid Driver's license required or eligible for a Commonwealth of PA driver's license if out of state.
PA DOH EMSVO certification within 30 days of start date.
HazMat Awareness Training and NIMS (100, 200, 700, 800) required within 30 days of start date.
Must obtain Medical Command within 90 days of start date.

Nice To Haves

Six (6) months of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) experience preferred.
