About The Position

The Advanced EMT position at AmeriPro Health involves providing patient care in both emergency and non-emergency environments. The role requires compliance with all State EMS rules and regulations, and the EMT will float to Benton and Copperhill locations to cover call-outs and PTO. The position is part-time with 24-hour shift availability. The EMT will be responsible for maintaining ambulance equipment, ensuring it is clean and in proper working condition, and maintaining all required licenses and certifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
  • State specific Emergency Medical Technician certification / licensure in good standing.
  • Current National Registry certification if applicable by state law.
  • Current CPR: BLS certification.
  • Valid state specific Drivers’ license.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • FEMA IS certs: (IS-100; IS-200; IS-700; IS-800)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working as an EMT or in a similar medical role.
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and/or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all calls for service dispatched from the AmeriPro EMS communications center as directed.
  • Provide care and treatment to patients according to company policy and the company medical director protocols.
  • Ensure ambulance and all equipment is cleaned and checked daily.
  • Prepare and complete appropriate reports including Patient Care Reports (PCR), billing, exposure reports, incident reports, and unit check-offs.
  • Ensure unit and crewmembers adhere to AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, guidelines, directives, and standards.
  • Ensure vehicle placed in-service comply with required laws, rules, license, and regulations.
  • Maintain a state of readiness and professionalism while on-duty.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while in company uniform.
  • Demonstrate the ability to safely lift, transfer and maneuver patients in and out of ambulances, facilities, residences, and other locations.
