Harney District Hospital is seeking a full-time Advanced EMT to join their EMS Team. This person will be responsible for pre-hospital care and transportation of injured or sick persons to a medical facility. They must also be able to operate an emergency medical vehicle in a safe manner and perform other duties inline with the department's mission. The schedule is 3 24 hour shifts and 6 days off. Education and Experience Equivalent to a high school education supplemented with additional specialized emergency medical training, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES: Possession of or ability to obtain at time of appointment the following: Emergency Medical Technician – Advanced License issued by the State of Oregon. AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certificate. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Diploma copy or official transcript of highest academic achievement in order to meet the requirements mandated by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988. Possession of or ability to obtain within six (6) months of appointment the following: Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS), Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent. State of Oregon approved Emergency Vehicle Operations Course completion of equivalent.
