About The Position

The position involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to safety, environmental, and contamination control policies. The role requires wearing proper personal protective equipment and complying with OSHA Safety and Health rules. The employee is expected to approach work positively, maintain supportive conduct towards the team, and contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Responsibilities include performing testing, commissioning, and maintenance of low and medium voltage electrical equipment, conducting diagnostics and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems, and developing project-specific documentation. The employee must also maintain high awareness of technical changes in the industry and contribute to improving work methods and safety standards.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 7 or more years of experience in a related field.

Nice To Haves

• Proficient in the use of a computer and Microsoft Office products.
• NETA 3 certification.
• NICET certification.
• Flir Level 1 certification.
• Working knowledge with various switchgear testing software.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, commissioning, and maintenance of low and medium voltage electrical equipment.
• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems in substations.
• Attend and complete required technician training classes.
• Develop and track project-specific documentation, including test reports and compliance records.
• Work in a neat and orderly fashion, looking for ways to improve work methods and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
