Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
  • CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: : Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Experience with schematic editing and PCB layout changes with OrCAD (Cadence)
  • Working knowledge of digital and networking electronics
  • Experience with circuit simulation software (PSpice, LTspice, MATLAB, or similar)
  • Experience designing FPGA digital circuits and/or VHDL programming
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles with practical application experience
  • Ability to translate system requirements into circuit designs independently
  • Proven troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for complex electronic circuits

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze analog and digital electronic circuits including signal conditioning, power distribution, and analog-to-digital conversion
  • Lead the design, analysis, and testing of underwater acoustic systems
  • Conduct obsolescence and End-of-Life (EOL) analysis on existing designs; lead component replacement and redesign implementation efforts
  • Perform integration, testing, troubleshooting, and verification of electrical hardware; identify and resolve complex technical issues
  • Lead component and architecture trade studies to determine optimal system solutions
