The Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) Design Engineer will play a crucial role in the design and development of automotive electrical components, focusing on innovative solutions that align with Honda's vision for the future of mobility. This position involves coordinating and performing a full range of design and development activities that meet both departmental and organizational needs. The engineer will work closely with 4MOC/SDM counterparts, international engineering teams, and external vendors and customers to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively. The role requires the engineer to take on PIC (Project Integration Coordinator) responsibilities for assigned parts within various development projects, ensuring that all aspects of the design process are managed from initial concept through to mass production. Key responsibilities include producing 3D designs and 2D layouts for automotive electrical components, which may encompass vision systems, radar for automotive driving, and safety system sensors. The engineer will evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs and applications, ensuring that all designs adhere to current guidelines while also proposing new design guides to Technical Management as necessary. Additionally, the engineer will manage development projects and schedules, coordinate with related departments and suppliers, and research new technologies and market trends. Writing and presenting technical reports will also be a significant part of the role, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex information clearly.
