About The Position
This position provides Time-limited individual psychotherapy; on-going and time limited groups (process and psycho-educational); crisis intervention and emergency assessment, disposition, and referral; outreach programming; educational/preventative programs on substance abuse; training and support programs; and diversity training. A sampling of recent group/workshop topics include self-esteem, stress, procrastination and perfectionism, study skills and test taking, social anxiety group, interpersonal process groups, mindfulness meditation, veterans’ workshops, dream interpretation, and a women’s survivors’ group. Some of these services may be done through virtual means if the Pandemic is not under control. #LI- DNI
Requirements
- MUST BE A STUDENT ENROLLED AT AN APPROVED COLORADO HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION
- Completion of 3 years in a Counseling or Clinical Psychology graduate program and good academic standing in respective training programs
- 3 years psychotherapy experience at a formal clinic, hospital, forensic, or university counseling center
- Good Intake assessment and treatment skills
- Interest in group therapy ; completion of group psychotherapy coursework
- Interest in and participation in outreach programs
- Knowledge and insight regarding multicultural therapy issues and experiences with diverse client populations.
