About The Position

This position is full time, days. The shift is Monday-Friday 730am-4pm and 1 weekend per month 7am-5pm. Rotating holidays and 3 nights on call per month. Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures for radiological diagnosis, in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Displays leadership characteristics by volunteering for improvement initiatives and intra/interdepartmental committees, seeking new ways to improve team collaboration and success, functioning as a subject matter expert, and acting as a mentor to assist in team development and coaching. Advanced responsibilities may include acting as an onboarding/orientation preceptor, serving as clinical instructor for students, providing and leading annual CE opportunities for team members, acting as the operations leader during the absence of a team lead/supervisor.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support certification, required.
  • Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist.
  • Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years experience as a radiology diagnostic technologist, preferred.
