As an Advanced DevOps Engineer, you will: Contribute to automation that instantiates and maintains container orchestration platforms Build and deploy CICD pipelines involving automatic builds of software and firmware, automated unit testing, static code analysis, and release management Automate build processes of embedded and non-embedded applications (C, C#, Java, Python, etc.) Work closely with our team to plan major updates and enhancements to our products In this role, you will be working with critical internal and external platform consumers. Together with the team, you will support successful implementation of the platform in the Cloud through architecture guidance, best practices, data migration, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and more. Workplace Options: This position requires 25% support on-site in McLeansville VA and 25% on-site in Canonsburg PA...proximity to either location is ideal. Your remaining time can be flexed from home. What you bring to the table: Candidates should have demonstrated familiarity and experience in some of the following areas: Experience working with, or are familiar with the differences between, public (AWS, Azure), private (RHOSP, VIO), and mixed cloud environments Container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Deployment or use of continuous integration and continuous deployment technologies such as GitLab, Jenkins, Puppet, or Chef Experience supporting production-grade applications in virtualized environments (cloud computing platforms and services) using automation Creation or use of pipelines (Git, Gitlab Runner), Ansible Playbooks, and/or Terraform configurations to automate administrative actions from resource creation to service configuration Strong background in scripting and debugging within all the technologies mentioned Effective communication and attention to detail Proven background in Agile methodologies, Scaled Agile Framework experience preferred Automation of build processes from source code (C, C#, etc.), Buildroot experience preferred Travel to multiple sites when required What sets you apart: Static code analysis tools such as SonarQube Building and deploying pipelines in an air gapped development environment Installation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) technologies such as Amazon Web Services, OpenStack, RHOSP, or VIO Management of Cloud Resources in Amazon Web Services, and/or Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher, or OpenShift Cloud automation tooling such as Ansible, Terraform, Terragrunt, or Packer What sets you apart: Strong understanding of software development process, as well as software engineering concepts, principles, and theories Creative thinker capable of applying new information quickly to solve challenging problems Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and other Our Commitment to You: An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development.
