The Team: The Oracle Database Technologies organizations creates data management technologies that power the modern economy. This includes the Oracle Database, the most widely used mission-critical database in all major industries around the world. We use this foundation to develop Database Services in Public and Private Clouds, and the Oracle Autonomous Database, the world’s first self-driving, self-securing, self-repairing mission-critical cloud database service. The organization also engineers hardware systems specialized for database that are used by over 75% of the largest businesses in the world. In this team, the code that you write will power highly critical systems used by billions of people including travel reservations, telecommunications, hospitals, payroll, insurance, banking, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, e-commerce, utilities, and government services. The goal of our products is to increase the possibilities and productivity of businesses and people worldwide. Over 30% of the largest businesses in the world are already using our database cloud technologies.

  • Completed a Master’s or Doctorate’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent science/engineering field between by June 2026.
  • Are strongly proficient (i.e., able to complete coding projects with no assistance) in the following programming languages: C, C++ and Java.
  • Have the ability to implement sophisticated algorithms and data structures in very complex systems with the highest quality.
  • Have completed coursework, projects, internships, and or research three or more of the following Systems Programming related areas: Computer Architecture / Software Architecture, Distributed Systems, Database Systems / Database Internals (Storage Engine), Multithreaded/Multicore programming/Concurrent programming, Parallel Programming, Operating Systems Concepts.
  • Have completed at least one internship, research assistantship, teaching assistantship, or equivalent practical experience working with the relevant technical areas noted above.
  • Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US.
  • Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2026.
