About The Position

A community acute care hospital in North Florida is seeking an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to support critical care and inpatient clinical pharmacy services on a dedicated 7 on / 7 off night schedule . This role plays a key part in medication safety, clinical decision support, sterile compounding, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This position is open to experienced hospital pharmacists or strong new graduates who hold an active Florida pharmacist license and demonstrate solid clinical knowledge and resource utilization skills.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
  • BS Pharmacy or PharmD degree
  • Active Florida Pharmacist License (required at time of hire)
  • Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and independent decision-making skills

Nice To Haves

  • Hospital pharmacy experience or completion of a residency
  • Familiarity with clinical drug information resources used to maintain evidence-based practice
  • Experience supporting critical care or inpatient pharmacy services

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify medication orders for appropriateness, dosing, route, and interactions
  • Adjust medication regimens per protocol based on patient condition
  • Ensure safe medication dispensing in accordance with age-specific and clinical guidelines
  • Perform sterile IV admixture preparation in compliance with USP 797 standards
  • Monitor and reconcile controlled substances and narcotic transactions
  • Provide clinical pharmacy support, including physician consults and drug information
  • Participate in medication use evaluation, clinical data analysis, and monograph development
  • Support pharmacy distribution operations including storage, dispensing, and inventory control
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Promote a patient-centered environment through professional, empathetic communication
